The following course is currently offered via CBT: Linux System Administration
What do CBT courses contain?
A CBT course contains Flash-based lessons and a virtual machine that you can use to perform lab exercises. The virtual machine enables you to perform "destructive" lab exercises without altering your system configuration.
Do I have access to an instructor while taking a CBT?
Because our CBTs are intended to be self-paced instructional packages that you can start and stop at your convenience, no instructor interaction is provided with this delivery method. If you want to have an instructor available to answer any questions you have as you complete a course, you might prefer attending one of our instructor-led courses.
How are CBTs delivered?
Our CBT courses are delivered via DVD and/or downloadable files. The CBTs run on your local system without modifying your existing configuration.
What are the system requirements for running a CBT?
The system that you use to run the CBT must meet the following requirements: Windows XP with SP2 or greater, Windows Vista with SP1 or greater, openSUSE 10.2 or greater, SLES 9 or greater, RHEL 4.6 or greater, or Ubuntu 6.06 or greater - Internet Explorer 6.x or higher, Firefox 2.x or higher, or another modern browser - Adobe Flash 7.x or higher - DVD-ROM - 16 GB free hard disk space - Audio capability
May I copy my CBT and share it with a co-worker?
Your CBT contains copyrighted material, and your purchase entitles you to the one original copy that you receive from SGI. You should not copy the DVDs or any downloadable files that you receive.
