  • Installation covers installing Linux, including typical system requirements and the various configuration elements encountered during the installation process.
  • RPM covers the RPM package manager, the information contained in RPM package labels and files, and some of the basic RPM commands.
  • Startup and Shutdown covers the boot sequence, configuring GRUB, and shutting down a Linux system.
  • Runlevels covers the purpose of runlevels, explains how runlevels activate different services, and describes source scripts.
